What is a Candidate Advocate

What is a CDR

Although chatbots are getting all the buzz in recruiting lately, we at PivotCX understand that they have limitations when developing a connection with job seekers. For this reason, we have enlisted Candidate Development Representatives (CDR) to be our first line of communication between job applicants and employers.

CDRs are similar to "business development representatives" in sales. A CDR is responsible for initial contact and starting the relationship with a candidate. They manage the top of the recruiting funnel and deliver qualified, ready-to-action candidates to a recruiter or hiring manager. This division of labor is highly effective. CDRs can ask all the qualifying questions required for the job and respond to most job seekers' primary questions or concerns quickly and empathetically. Recruiters then can concentrate on qualified candidates who have moved to the following part of the funnel.
